Safoora Harandi, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician at West Plano Medical Associates in Plano, Texas.
After graduating with honors from medical school (finishing in the top 1% of her class), Dr. Harandi was invited to perform research in interventional cardiology at the prestigious Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where she interned and completed a residency in internal medicine. During her residency training, she ranked second in the highly-respected Fourth Dallas ACP-ASIM Associates Abstract Presentations, a competition in the depiction of operative therapies for coronary arterial aneurysms.
After she passed her licensing exams in 2000, she started practicing internal medicine. In 2001, she also accepted a position as the medical director of the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home, where she cared for critically and terminally ill United States military veterans.
Dr. Harandi was voted by her peers as one of the “Best Doctors in Collin County 2016” by D Magazine. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. Dr. Harandi is on the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano.
She was recognized by a group of her peers for her outstanding practice of internal medicine, and she received a Top Ten Doctor Award from Vitals since 2013. Dr. Harandi was recognized as a Best-of-Plano internal medicine practitioner from 2013-present. She is included in the Who’s Who of Top Doctors, Honors Edition and was recognized as an American Top Physician by the Consumers’ Research Council of America in 2009, 2014, and 2018.
Dr. Harandi maintains the highest level of medical proficiency through constant and rigorous training. She regularly attends National Primary Care Update Conferences at renowned institutions, including the Mayo Clinic and Harvard Medical School. She’s also offiliated with UTSW Health Resources. Dr Harandi is very passionate about serving her local community and is currently a volunteer member for Tx Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Tx. She’s an active member of the National Charity League and Young Men Service League.
Dr. Harandi started her own practice in Plano, Texas, in 2004.
Julie Ramus, NP
Family Nurse Practitioner
Julie is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Julie worked as a registered nurse at Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan for over four years. She has since completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Michigan, where she concentrated on primary care across the lifespan. During her graduate studies, she focused on improving community-dwelling older adults’ physical activity levels. Julie has a special interest in patient education aimed at improving patients’ health and wellbeing.
Julie is a big college football fan and enjoys cheering on her Michigan Wolverines. She also enjoys walks, baking, and completing creative do it yourself (“DIY”) projects around the house.
